op_min_ssOperation Mincemeat, broadcast on BBC 2 on December 5, has proved a massive hit with UK television audiences, peaking at over 3 million viewers. (You can still watch it on the BBC iPlayer.)

The new Walker George Films documentary has also won unanimous praise from print press and online reviewers.

For more than 60 years, the true story behind Operation Mincemeat has been shrouded in secrecy. Now, best-selling author and Times columnist Ben Macintyre reveals how a remarkable team of British secret agents and a dead Welsh tramp managed to fool Hitler in the most successful deception of the Second World War.

Based on Ben Macintyre's bestselling book of the same name, the film is directed by Russell England and produced by Stephen Walker.
